This session covers various strategies for advancing sustainable development. It will detail the process of creating Strategic Environmental Assessments in Uzbekistan, which are crucial for integrating environmental and health considerations into sectoral planning and transitioning to a green economy. The presentation will outline the baseline analysis, methodologies for assessment, and investment opportunities to address negative impacts of new policies and programs. Additionally, the presentation will highlight the development of a bond framework focused on financing sustainable activities, along with efforts by banks to enhance their green portfolios and update policies to support greener operations. Finally, we will introduce a new green growth index designed to assess the sustainability performance of Indian States. This index integrates economic, environmental, and social factors, offering a comprehensive tool for informed policy interventions and supporting sustainable green growth amid increasing environmental challenges.
