In this session, we will delve into three interrelated topics: addressing international security risks through Green Growth Projects, exploring the nexus between social inclusion and green growth in fragile regions, and examining the humanitarian situation in the Centre-North region of Burkina Faso. The first topic focuses on providing direction and policy guidance for peace and governance programs amid growing political, economic, and climate change risks, aiming to mitigate the negative impact on vulnerable communities. The second topic emphasizes the importance of social inclusion and conflict sensitivity in driving transformative climate action, particularly in conflict-prone areas. The third topic highlights the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Burkina Faso’s Centre-North region and showcases ATAD’s efforts in improving living conditions, creating jobs, and implementing sustainable agricultural practices to enhance resilience and mitigate climate impacts.
