This session will be a panel discussion combining insights at a policy and strategic level on sector trends, with grounded experiences of how to pursue environmental action, sustainable development and green transitions in a way that prevents conflict escalation and promotes peacebuilding and social cohesion. The session is part of the efforts that GGGI, with the support of PeaceNexus Foundation, have been making during the past year-and-a-half to enable green transitions in fragile and conflict contexts through the integration of a conflict sensitivity approach. Five speakers from the World Bank, GEF, CI, Blue Action Fund and GGGI, have been identified to participate in the panel, all leaders in the sector making valuable contributions in organizations with a global reach.
