Regional Actions in Managing Waste

Mismanagement of waste has regional implications. From illegal trade of waste and recyclables, transboundary pollution of rivers and oceans, inconsistent implementation of various international treaties etc. There are various regional actions that are required to help contain the problem of waste and enable the regional value chains for recycling / reuse to develop. This session will try to articulate the regional issues and identify the regional actions in managing waste that are relevant to the ASEAN context.
