Climate Action: Enhancing Adaptation Capacities from Planning to Finance
Date: Oct 25, 2022
Time: 20:00 to 21:30 (KST/GMT+9)
Overview:
GGGI, its members and other development partners are heavily involved in the development of planning activities to prepare for the impacts of the climate emergency, through NAPs, NDCs and LT-LEDS. The NAP and the NAPA process have been formally in existence since 2010, with NDCs more recently in operation under the Paris agreement.
Given that 2022 is the year of the informally designated “adaptation CoP” that will take place in Egypt in November this year, this session hopes to look at what the gaps are between adaptation planning processes and action, and what lessons can be learned from current practice in order to accelerate implementation of plans and the planning process.
