Setting the Building Blocks for Long-term Climate Actions: the Creation of LT-LEDS

Overview:
The aim of the session is to share experiences and lessons learned of different Governments and Organizations working on the development of long-term low emission and climate resilient development strategies (LT-LEDS). The session will cover how GGGI has supported its member and partner countries in setting up the building blocks to enable them to take informed choices through long-term planning for climate actions. GGGI and other Organizations will showcase lessons learnt from creating the long-term low emission development strategies in support of their partner countries. Governments, International Organizations and Research Institutes active in the field of LT-LEDS will share their perspectives, experiences, opportunities and challenges on supporting the design of national (and sub-national) long term climate development strategies.
