Overview:
The complex interactions arising from the intersection of a climate crisis, worsened food insecurity due to security threats, coupled with mass displacement and lack of income-generating opportunities, present significant challenges. These challenges underscore the pressing need for comprehensive, integrated approaches. This session will bring about experiences from diverse settings in African countries and the middle east, where organizations like GGGI, IOM and the International Development Enterprise (IDE), are deploying concrete solutions to build resilience, create green jobs, better conditions and livelihoods for refuges/migrants/host communities, while also helping restore ecosystems and deliver co-benefits in terms of environmental peacebuilding.
