Overview:
Nature-based Solutions (NbS) as an approach to solving societal challenges are propagating rapidly worldwide and are increasingly a core component of sustainable development strategies of cities, regions, and nations. While NbS can have a wide range of applications, this session will explore how they can be leveraged for climate change adaptation and the promotion of sustainable development through examples in Africa and Asia. In this sessions, experts in the field will identify how NbS projects are being designed, financed, and implemented and discuss the enabling environment for projects and the technical challenges holding back more rapid development.
