The transition to a green economy represents an opportunity to create green jobs, particularly for young people and women. This session will explore the potential for decent job creation in two economic sectors in Africa: waste management – circular economy, and renewable energy. Panelists will discuss the barriers to green jobs creation and youth employment and recommendations for African governments, private sector stakeholders, and investors for tapping into Africa’s talented youth.
