Overview:

As the movement for an inclusive green economy continues to grow to take ambitious steps towards the implementation of the Paris Agreement and NetZero pledges, the importance and value of engagement and exchange among a growing number of global partners and experts is more important than ever. Enhancing knowledge sharing and building capacity worldwide with the aim of achieving more informed, targeted and rapid decision-making will help experts and institutions promote inclusive green economy policies, practices and actions at the local, national, regional and global levels.

This session will highlight the role of knowledge as a key enabler for a green transformation – environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive – through three drivers of change, namely policy makers, financial sector, and the business actors in driving consumption patterns. Panelists will explore various modalities to increase community awareness and strengthen the capacity of different points of view, fosters intergenerational understanding and support collective action among different groups in society critical for behavioural shift, from the government level to communal and household levels.
